You have a lot of tips on how to apply derfen on horses. We decided to publish these recommandations in order to help all the new customers. Thank you for your time , your experience and results.We really appreciate it.

Derfen and vaseline(or petroleum jelly) :  Anaelle :  I mix vaseline and Derfen in a bowl. It is really helpful for legs and difficult areas;results are great. It makes a stronger protection. thanks again and congratulations !

Massage :
Marine : I apply derfen all along the mane and  at the base of the tail. When the lotion is on the skin, I massage my horse with a swab in order to make Derfen penetrate . My horse "smells derfen" for a few days and the oil is visible along the mane. This method is efficient. My Horse is not itching anymore. I apply it once a week.

Animaderm : to make Derfen penetrate is very efficient to hydrate the skin. you will also save some lotion.

Brush:
Severine : I shake very strongly the bottle and pour some Derfen in a plate. With a paint brush, I apply the oil directly on the skin.

Animaderm : brush allows to apply Derfen easily on the skin and moisturises skin and lesions. But prior to that, don't forget to skake the bottle.

Comb: Animaderm : some areas are hard to treat. using an iron comb can be the solution(you can find some in special animal stores). The comb will help you apply Derfen on hair and also eliminate superficial crusts.

"Smart" gloves:

Joelle : I also have a tip to apply derfen : I use an extra large plastic pair of gloves (too big for me-you know the kind of gloves you use to do the dishes...); so, they are easy to put on and take off. In so doing, I never get oil on my hands and I can use them again next time
